This sexy looking touchscreen phone, which certainly looks like a worthy rival to the Samsung Omnia HD, is the LG GC900 which is a follow up to the Viewty.

Unfortunately, as far as specs are concerned, it seems that this new offering form LG is still undersized to really compete head-on with the monster which Samsung unveiled last month. The LG GC900 Viewty 2 features a 3-inch display, 8-megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lens, Xenon flash, HSDPA connectivity, WiFi, A-GPS, Dolby Mobile and DivX support, and comes with the new 3D S-Class UI. It’s pretty decent on its own, but it’s a far cry from the Omnia HD with its stellar 3.7-inch AMOLED display, HD video playback and DLNA support.

Further details are yet to be disclosed, but this early on, it looks like LG fan boys will have something new to look forward to. The LG GC900 Viewty 2 might not be the best touchscreen phone of today, but it is, to say the least, a pretty decent upgrade to their highly successful Viewty.
