We already mentioned the existence of a WiMax-enabled device from HTC earlier last month, and now, HTC has officially announced it to the rest of the world.

The HTC Max 4G/Scarlet (formerly known as simply the T8290) comes with the same kick-ass 3.8-inch 800x480 touchscreen display found on the Touch HD and has a 5-megapixel autofocus camera as well as a secondary front camera for video calls. You'll also get WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS as part of the package. Unfortunately, you can add this one under the ever growing list of devices that will never see the light of day in the US or Canada. Like the Touch HD, HTC has confirmed the Max 4G will debut in Russia on November 26th and there are no plans for the North American market.

Here's a short video of the Max 4G showing off its features.
