Apple has now released iPhone 2.2 Beta 1 SDK for developers which could include some added features aside from bug fixes for leftover problems that firmware 2.1 wasn’t able to resolve.

From what we hear, it could include push notifications and some added GPS functionality, but I guess we won't know until the firmware goes live. We're wishing that cut/copy/paste will finally be included in this one, but we're pretty close to giving up on that idea ever becoming a reality on the iPhone. Stay tuned as we're guessing this one will probably become available before 2008 comes to a close.

I guess this calls for another new jailbreak to be in the offing as well. Paging the iPhone Dev Team, one iPhone 2.2 jailbreak to go please.
