We’ve had a number of Windows Mobile 6.1 updates in the past couple of days, and now its Blackberry’s turn to roll out an update. Well, actually, it’s AT&T who’s releasing this update for their Blackberry-touting subscribers.

It’s a Blackberry OS 4.5 update, and unfortunately, it won’t be available until the middle of the month. That’s according to the slide BGR has managed to dig up and it’s applicable to the 8820, Curve 8310, Pearl 8120 and the Curve 8300. The update will improve performance in web browsing, email, docs to go and the media player to name just a few. New Blackberry devices that will be sold in mid-October will have this latest update already installed.

Consider this a heads-up for now, but rest assured, we'll give a shout-out when it's available officially.
