It looks like things are looking up for the Open Handset Alliance and their Android OS for mobile devices.

Aside from the huge publicity they got out of the HTC Dream video, they have now released version 0.9 of the Android SDK which indicates that it might not be too long before version 1.0 is finally released; not only to developers, but to the public as well. With the HTC Dream receiving approval from the FCC and this latest development concerning the Android OS, the September release might just become a reality after all.
