Even before they release the iPhone, Rogers will have a mobile game changer for their customers. HTC, maker of Windows Mobile smartphones, presents a breakthrough in user interface: Microsoft Origami(TM) Experience 2.0 via the HTC Shift X9501.
The HTC Shift has a 7-inch touch screen that tilts to reveal a QWERTY keyboard. It has WiFi, triband HSPA and Bluetooth and a front camera for video conferencing. It's a hard-disk portable, packing 40GB of storage space. Soon HTC will even add TeleNav GPS. This Windows Vista-running UMPC will not come cheap. You can take it home for $1,599.99 for a three year term and a minimum $50 Flex Rate Data Plan.
