RIM has officially announced the newest iteration of the mobile platform as BlackBerry 7 (formerly known as BlackBerry 6.1). This new BlackBerry OS boasts of an enhanced browser with HTML5 support and Just-In-Time JavaScript, voice-activated universal search, and BlackBerry Balance, a new feature that separate personal content from work. It's a good step up from BlackBerry 6.1, but the bad news is it won't be available as an update for old and current in-market devices. Sorry guys. You'll have to buy a new 'Berry to get a hold of this new BlackBerry OS.
