Still remember the Sony Ericsson Yendo, the newest handset in the Walkman series? Well, surprise, surprise, it’s delayed.
NieuweMobiel has confirmed this with Ben Padley of Sony Ericsson. Citing unsatisfactory software as the primary reason for its postponed global roll out, it’s now pegged for a February launch. Delayed product releases is never good news, but even more so for a company striving to make a comeback in a highly competitive industry. On the upside, though, it’s reassuring to know they’ve got the “user experience” as one of their main concerns and top priorities before giving a product the go signal to hit the market.
Just to refresh your memory, the Sony Ericsson Yendo sports 2.6-inch touchscreen, a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, dual-band GSM/EDGE, 3.5mm jack, FM radio, and a four-corner shortcut-laden homescreen reminiscent of the UI found on its Android twin, the XPERIA X10 Mini.
