After missing its supposed September release date, Pleco 2.2 has finally arrived in the App Store. This anticipated update to the Chinese dictionary app comes with two new useful features - real-time camera-based Chinese character recognition and handwriting input translations. Pleco 2.2 is designed for both the iPhone and iPad, and is compatible with models running on as far back as iOS 3.0. It’s free to download, but do take note that certain features such as the ones we earlier mentioned aren’t bundled in the standard package. They’re only available as in–app purchases.
