Nokia has just announced they've begun shipping their first CleakBlack display-equipped mobile phone, the Nokia C6-01. The ClearBlack technology is Nokia’s latest innovation which helps improve visibility even under direct sunlight. This particular mobile pone was unveiled back at Nokia World last September alongside the often-leaked Nokia C7.
To refresh your memory in case you've already forgotten what this baby has to offer, the Nokia C6-01 sports a 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen, an 8-megapixel camera, 720p HD video recording, WiFi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 2.0, HSDPA connectivity, and runs on Symbian^3.
Its new display is what helps it stand out from the rest of the pack, but in my opinion, what truly makes this baby worth watching out for is its retail price. It will reportedly retail for just €260 or roughly $370 in the greenback sans tax and subsidies making this one truly affordable touchscreen phone. Sure, there are better phones out there right now, but at that price, this is a pretty decent buy. Since it's already begun shipping, we should be hearing from carriers soon who plan to offer up the Nokia C5-01 locally. In the meantime, you can read the full announcement here.
