Looks familiar? It should because this is basically an updated version of the T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide sans the QWERTY keypad but with better specs. Unlike its predecessor which touts a mediocre 600MHz processor, this one is now powered by a 1GHz processor and comes preloaded with Android 2.2. The myTouch also features a 3.8-inch touchscreen, 5-megapixel rear camera, a secondary front-facing camera, 720p HD video recording, WiFi, and HSPA+ connectivity. The great thing here is that video chat won’t be limited to WiFi. T-Mobile is also allowing it over 3G as well making this particular Android phone one of the first handsets to support such a feature in the US.
The new myTouch will be available in 4 colored variations (white, black, red, and plum) when it hits stores “in time for the holidays.” Its price is still yet to be known. For the full press release, you can check it out here.
