The title says it all. The BlackBerry Torch 9800 now has a confirmed release date, and it's on the 24th of September. Rogers along with Telus and Bell have all announced that they'll have RIM’s first ever QWERTY slider phone available on this date. Virgin Mobile Canada, meanwhile, is still mum on when they'll be coming out with the BlackBerry Torch 9800. As for its price, both Rogers and Bell have revealed that the BlackBerry Torch 9800 will retail for $199.99 on a 3-yr contract. Telus, for their part, has yet to disclose how much they’ll be pricing their Torch 9800, but it’s safe to assume that it’ll probably be around the $199 as well contrary to a prior report. Unit only price is still a mystery though.
If you’re planning to get it from Rogers, you can read more about it at the RedBoard where they also have an interview with BlackBerry’s Director of Marketing, Michael McDowell, or sign-up here to be a part of their mailing list.
UPDATED: Virgin Mobile has just announced via Twitter that they too will be releasing the Torch 9800 on the 24th.
