Bell has the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant while Rogers will soon have the Samsung Galaxy S Captivate. So, how about Telus? Well, based on this latest report by Mobilesyrup, they may soon be adding the Galaxy Apollo to their line-up just before the new school year starts. It's no Galaxy S Android phone, but it's something that looks worth keeping an eye out in the next couple of months.
The Galaxy Apollo was spotted in an email sent by Samsung promoting their Back-to-School offerings. It’s not yet confirmed on Telus though, but it has been rumored in the past to be coming to the Canadian carrier. Based on what’s included in the brief product overview, the Apollo features a 3.2-inch touchscreen, WiFi, and comes preloaded with Swype. In addition to that, its also rumored to sport an AMOLED display and a 5-megapixel camera capable of recording in 720p HD. As far as its Android OS version is concerned, it’ll most likely come with Android 2.1 installed though we certainly wouldn’t mind if they surprise us with Android 2.2.
That's about it for now. No word yet on its pricing and possible release date, but rest assured, we'll report more on this once additional info becomes available.
