Meet the Samsung i909, the latest addition to the growing Galaxy S Android collection of phones from Samsung. Just like its brethren in the Galaxy S family such as the Captivate headed for Rogers and Vibrant that's now available on Bell, this baby sports a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen, 5-megapixel autofocus camera, Bluetooth 3.0, and WiFi, but what makes the i909 stand out from the rest of the pack is that it’s the first and currently the only Galaxy S Android phone that supports both CDMA/EV-DO and GSM connectivity making it a viable option for those either on Sprint or Verizon. Unfortunately, word is that it will only be released in China via China Telecom and won’t be launched elsewhere. The Samsung i909 also comes with WAPI support and 16GB of internal memory.
Yeah, the limited roll out is bit of a downer, but who knows, maybe Samsung has a similar or even better model planned for release in the North American market sometime soon.
