BlackBerry Curve 3GThe BlackBerry Curve 9300 or more commonly known as the Curve 3G has been available on Rogers since last week, but it’s only now that RIM has decided to officially announce this particular smartphone. We've discussed its specs already when we talked about its arrival in Canada via Rogers, but one thing we didn't know, and thanks to their announcement, RIM brings to our attention is that the BlackBerry Curve 3G is actually BlackBerry 6 ready. They reveal that an upgrade will be made available “in the coming months.” This should definitely be good news for those who've already bought this device and were saddened when they discovered that, unlike RIM’s other new offering, the BlackBerry Torch 9800, this one doesn’t come preloaded with BlackBerry 6.

Other devices that will be given a BlackBerry 6 upgrade soon include the BlackBerry Bold 9700, Bold 9650, and the Pearl 3G. For the entire press release, just head on over here.
