You’re eyes are not deceiving you, my friends. That sleek touchscreen phone standing beside the Motorola Droid X is indeed the anticipated Motorola Droid 2. It's showcased here in this leaked Verizon Wireless summer device catalog sent to BGR supporting earlier rumors that the Droid 2 will be released sometime in August.
While this catalog fails to mention a specific roll out date for the Droid 2, it does, however, confirm some of the supposed specs of this upcoming Android phone. Some of the features you can now definitely look forward to in this successor of the highly successful Motorola Droid include a 5-megapixel camera, 1GHz processor, 3G Mobile Hotspot functionality, slide-out full QWERTY keypad, and a preinstalled 8GB memory card.
Pricing though is still a mystery. If you want to check out the other goodies Verizon is showcasing in their 2010 summer catalog, you can head on over here to view the other pages of this leaked brochure. We'll have more on this once additional info becomes available.
