The iPhone 4 reception issue hasn’t been completely resolved yet, and now, BGR reports that Apple’s new iPhone is also suffering from 3G connectivity problems as well. This is one of the hottest topics in the Apple support forums, and while many will probably be quick to blame AT&T for the iPhone 4’s 3G connectivity shortcomings, some have actually tried a side-by-side speed test with an iPhone 3G and iPhone 3G S and the results weren't in favor of the latest iPhone.
Both of its predecessors had a stable and reliable 3G connection while the iPhone 4 only had an EDGE connection only, or at best, a measly 30 kbps 3G connection. We’re not sure how widespread this issue is right now, but we do know that it varies from iPhone to iPhone. Some are experiencing intermittent 3G connectivity while others, unfortunately, have it far worse as they’ve yet to experience a 3G connection at all.
Apple has yet to properly address this new problem hounding the new iPhone 4, but we are keeping our fingers crossed that the upcoming iOS 4 update will ironed this problem out aside from fixing remedying the iPhone 4 reception issue.
