iPhone 4How much of a hit is the iPhone 4? Good enough for Apple to sell 1.7 million iPhone 4 units in just a matter of 3 days. Apple made this announcement disclosing the iPhone 4 sales on its first weekend of availability. That’s quite a remarkable feat which, at the rate its going, can easily surpass the record set by the iPad (2 million units in 2 months). The iPhone 4 is yet to become available in Canada, but they did give a clue as to when it’ll be released locally when they stated that it’ll roll out to 18 more countries, Canada included, "by the end of July." Rogers, Telus, Bell, and Virgin Mobile have all previously confirmed they'll have the iPhone 4 as part of their line-up while the Apple Store Canada will sell it unlock to interested customers.

The question is, with iPhone 4 woes (confirmed and unconfirmed) popping up left and right on the internet, will this discourage people from getting the new iPhone? It might, to a certain degree, but I personally doubt it will play much of a factor in slowing down iPhone 4 sales globally. You can read the full press release here.
