Nokia Canada has announced two new smartphones to welcome the summer season one of which is the Nokia E72. This confirms our earlier report that this particular Eseries smartphone will soon be offered up by Telus locally. The other device they formally introduced is the Nokia N97 Mini which is now available on Rogers for $99.99 on a 3-yr contract.
Here’s what Nokia Canada General Manager Richard White had to say about their latest smartphone offerings in the country:
“Nokia has a strong heritage of innovating mobile communication and connecting people across our open and flexible range of devices designed to appeal to a wide range of consumers. Nokia Canada has a strong and broad product portfolio in the Canadian market and we are thrilled to be bringing these two amazing smartphones to Canada with TELUS and Rogers.”
The Nokia E72 should be a nice option for business folk who have grown accustomed to Nokia’s user-friendly interface that are also looking for the added convenience of the BlackBerry-inspired form factor. The Nokia N97 Mini, meanwhile, should be a good alternative to the full-sized Nokia N97 as it retains most of the features its heftier twin is renowned for minus the bulky size.
