Hot off the heels of the new photos of the BlackBerry Bold 9800, the BerryFix has now released a brief walkthrough video of RIM's first ever slider smartphone and its new BlackBerry OS 6.0.

BlackBerry Bold 9800 video

Here we have a live demonstration of how the redesigned homescreen of BlackBerry OS 6.0 works including its new Cover Flow-inspired media player interface, multitouch capabilities, and tabbed browsing in its new WebKit browser.

Judging at how the guy in this video effortlessly controls the Bold 9800 with his finger tips and how it was explicitly shown off towards the end that its display no longer moves, this confirms that SurePress has indeed gotten the boot, and in its place is what appears to be a capacitive touchscreen similar to what’s mostly used by the touchscreen phones of this generation.

Unfortunately, we still don’t know when RIM will release this slider QWERTY phone, but based on how well it looks and performs in this video, we wouldn’t be surprised if it happened much sooner than later.
