It’s not surprising though since it’s essentially the same device complete with the same set of flaws albeit distributed by a different Canadian carrier. As part of the recall process, Rogers MiFi users will be sent a pre-addressed prepaid envelope which they can use to send in their units to be fixed and sent back within 7-10 working days. For now, it's recommended to discontinue use of the MiFi 2372.
The Novatel MiFi 2372 mobile hotspot made headlines recently due to problems concerning its battery which, in certain cases, could swell up causing the device to malfunction. As a consolation for the hassle brought about by the defective device, Rogers will provide clients with credit though the details of it are yet to be finalized. The details of the credit are not finalized, however we are working with Novatel to provide a minimum credit of one month’s worth of the customer’s monthly service fee.
