The new BlackBerry Pearl 3G is already confirmed on Rogers, Telus, and Bell, and now, you can also add Virgin Mobile to that growing list as well. They’ve announced this via Twitter though they didn’t go as far as to reveal a launch date or pricing for this new Pearl series smartphone. Telus, for their part, has officially announced they'll be selling it for just $29.99 on a 3-year contract while Bell is currently rumored to have theirs priced at $29.95 on the same contract term basis ($329.95 no-contract) and is expected to be released on May 13. Last we heard, Rogers was going to sell their BlackBerry Pearl 3G for $79.99 (no-contract price of $499.99), but since then, all the other carriers had slashed their 3-year contract price for the Pearl 3G so it’s highly likely that Rogers will do the same when they launch it hopefully within the month.
For those not familiar with the BlackBerry Pearl 9100, this RIM smartphone comes equipped with 624Mhz processor complemented by 256MB flash memory, 3.2-megapixel AF camera with flash, WiFi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, tri-band UMTS/HSDPA and quad-band GPRS/GSM connectivity, and an optical trackpad. It runs on BlackBerry OS 5 and is powered by a 1150mAh battery that should be able to provide approximately 5.5 hours of talk time.
