The LG Cookie was one of the company’s more successful touchscreen phones in 2009. So it doesn’t come as a surprise that LG is launching yet another Cookie phone in 2010 in the form of the LG Cookie Plus GS500.
The LG Cookie Plus GS500 comes with a 3-inch 240x400 touchscreen, 3-megapixel camera, various social networking features, animated UI and widgets, an FM tuner, and 3G with 7.2Mbps HSDPA connectivity as well. It will be released in France and Italy in March and will be introduced to 43 other countries thereafter. It’s prices wasn’t mentioned, but given that the LG Cookie targets the more budget-conscious segment of the market, this new one shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg if it truly wants to live up to the Cookie tradition.
If the LG Cookie Plus GS500 is a little underwhelming for your personal taste, fret not as LG has also announced that they'll be rolling out a whole batch of new Cookie handsets this 2010. You can read the full press release here.
