Last year, rumors surfaced that Nokia was going to launch two new series of phones, the Cseries and Xseries, to complement their existing Nseries multimedia line and Eseries business phones. The Xseries report was spot on as the Finnish company launched two handsets, the X6 touchscreen phone and X3 slider, to spearhead this new collection, but unfortunately, 2009 came to an end without us hearing anything about the Cseries line.
Today, however, we’ve got news that Nokia might finally push through with the Cseries this January. There’s a Nokia event scheduled on January 26 and rumor is that they’ll be launching the Nokia C3 and C5 phones here. According to the post of NokiaPort.de at the Mobile-Review forums, the Nokia C3 comes with WiFi, Bluetooth, and quad-band GSM connectivity while the C5 ditches the WiFi in favor of HSDPA connectivity.
Of course, given that this is a rumor, we’re still taking this bit of news with a grain of salt. With that being said though, we’re hoping that there's more truth to this than fiction as we're definitely starving for some new Nokia handsets this 2010.
