HTC Desire HD will not get ICS update

After much confusion, HTC finally confirmed that the HTC Desire HD will not get updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The Taiwanese manufacturer announced that, after extensive testing, it determined that the HTC Desire HD will not provide users with the best experience if upgraded to a newer version of Android.

What You Need To Know:

- HTC previously confirmed that the HTC Desire HD was on track to receive the update.

- The Desire HD currently runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

- The manufacturer suggested a combination of Android 4.0 and HTC Sense as the reason for not updating the OS.
