Targeted at those looking for productivity on the go as well as a touch of entertainment

Verizon Wireless Ellipsis 7

from Legit Review

The Verizon Ellipsis 7 4G LTE tablet is a great deal. I never had any significant issues while I was using it, the camera left something to be desired, but it when it came to the usability and user experience it was able to handle everything I wanted it to do with ease.

Very much a niche product

Verizon Wireless Ellipsis 7

from TabletPCReview

If all that you care about is internet on the go and basic tablet features, the Ellipsis 7 is a decent deal. If you're looking for a more well-rounded tablet with more longevity, you might want to look elsewhere.

Even the description boast " with expandable microSD card"..... too bad you are unable to utilize it's full potential... They fail to mention the limited amount of space dedicated to apps and the inability to store apps on the SD card.

This is one of the cheapest made tablet

Verizon Ellipsis 8

no extra anything can't use a SD card reader as with other Android devices and can't be added poor design and to get a straight answer I had to finally get in touch with Quanta computer company they build it for Verizon, Verizon knows nothing about the tablet

I hate this tablet!

Verizon Ellipsis 8

I hate this tablet, I should have never traded it for my iPad. There are constant pop ups, it hard to type because it selects the b button rather then the space bar and the apps constantly crash. Apps update all the time and this tablet never does.

Been a good tablet so far !

I have had this tablet when Verizon a was running a promo and it was free (I was upgrading my phone, so they threw it in ). so far it has been working just fine for me. The camera is slow and resolution is not great...but I don't use it much anyway. Wi-Fi works great all the places I took it and the 4G LTE worked in most areas I traveled. It would be nice if they included the 3G backwards compatability. Speed is not bad, I can download video and it plays normal to me only a couple of times was it slow but then so was my phone...bad area I guess. Battery life is pretty good as I read articles and books on it too. I put an 8GB Sd card and case on it to give it better protection and the case acts as a stand too. So far so good. Less
Works well, I have hade it for 3 months with no problems

It has taken me a while to figure some things out with it (first tablet I have used), and it has not helped that the different apps I needed for school, the instructions for the apps were wrong, but I am working at figuring it out. I wish I could figure out how to take Andorra's time off the time screen. I figured out how to put it on, and Istanbul's, but I haven't figured out how to take them off. I put them on by playing with it and I guess I will take them off the same way, or actually get the book that came with it out and see if there is something in there about it. Was looking for a e-manual when I found this site. :) Give me another week to figure it out and I may have better to say about it. Less
Well perhaps I shouldn't give a review as yet as I am only 2 days in, but my first impression isn't that great. Of course part of my problem stems from coming from an apple product down to the elipsis7. You just can't do that and be happy. There is nothing like the i/anything in my book. My reason for...More
Well perhaps I shouldn't give a review as yet as I am only 2 days in, but my first impression isn't that great. Of course part of my problem stems from coming from an apple product down to the elipsis7. You just can't do that and be happy. There is nothing like the i/anything in my book. My reason for the downgrade is simple. My iPhone4 is outdated. Not to me mind you but to apple. Most of my fav apps have disappeared in an attempt to get me to upgrade to an higher iOS. This cannot be done without losing some data I won't sacrifice and I absolutely do not want a new hideous "toys r us" looking colored phone! I wouldn't upgrade when the 5's came out because I hated the size change and the junky metal back. That glass back on the 4's is supreme! No, I am sticking to my 4, Steve's last phone, as a classic, as long as the thing will make a call! Soooo that brings us to here. All for my eBay app back, I have gotten this ellipsis 7. Major reason, it was free, and a cent more I would not have paid! First its only 8 megabytes! Are you kidding me?? I have it half filled now! Next is the camera, only 3.2 megapixels, barf-o-rama! I'll never use it. I've been uploading photos from iPhone to the ellipsis and I have to do it by email because the Bluetooth wont work between devices Apple snobbery again! You can bluetooth photos from ellipsis to the iPhone but you cannot bluetooth from iPhone to tablet. It (iPhone)recognizes the device, but does "not support" it! Surprise, surprise!!! One reason I don't mind having something other than an Apple product is so that I can at least get Flash content if I find the need to! Sometimes their snobbery can be tiresome! Next, even on 4G its not as fast as my 3G iPhone.??? Don't get that, but is true. And it failed to get a signal in an area my phone worked! Same carrier and all, so dont get that. I guess the phone has better antenna or something like that. Twice now it has lost signal completely in area that is always served well, and my phone was getting 4 bars. Had to reboot and signal restored. THIS could get very tiresome if continues! Of course the screen can't compare with the iPhone retina display my eyes are spoiled to. But its decent I suppose. New to me is the speaking search and even dictation. A novelty to be sure but probably only that. How actually useful, I doubt. With the dictation you have to speak very clearly and distinctly or you will find yourself editing so much, typing to begin with, would have been easier. I like the size, easier on the eyes than a phone screen but not to big to handle easily, and you don't need a briefcase size bag to take it with you. I dislike the fact you have to swipe at the first screen up 3-4 times to get where you can go somewhere. I want home when I hit power. After a bit of experience I eliminated that though. The little web tabs at the top are a nuisance too, I much prefer safari's pages. Its easy to hit the wrong tab or even the close x accidentally. Keyboard is well done and if used to a touch screen pad should not require any getting used to. Battery is going to be a MAJOR ISSUE for me! Not used to power drain so fast. You CANNOT beat Apple batteries. If you are only used to other products I don't think you will have the shock I had at the twice daily charge-ups. Well that's about all I know at this early date. I'm sure I'll learn a lot more in coming days. Again I am satisfied with it for the sole purpose of getting my eBay app back. Other than that and some general web browsing I wouldn't settle for it. If this, my first introduction to tablet land, becomes addictive I will certainly lay out the bucks for the i-whatevers, that are available then. Less
