People often complain that they can’t receive some important call because of low battery. But if you, remember a few tips you can easily get rid of such problems. Here are some tips to prolong the life of your cell phones battery between charge:
Switch off the vibrator: Vibrators use up a lot of battery power and result in early discharging. Switch the vibrator off when and where it is not required.
Lower your ring tone volume: High ring tone volumes use up a lot of the battery power. Keep them lower.
Mobile back-light: Back-lights in mobile phones eat up a lot of battery power. If possible, change the settings and reduce the display brightness. Many phones will let you set the amount of time to leave the back-light on. Shorten that amount of time. Some cell phones have “power save mode” or “stand by” options. Activate these features to reduce the battery usage.
Switch off your cell phone when not in use: There are times when we’re not in a mood or position to receive any call. Switch off your cell phone in such situations. Another good time to shut off your cell is in poor signal areas. Signal loss or weak signal uses a lot of battery, as it requires more time for searching the network. Switch the cell phone off if you enter a no-network zone.
Avoid unattended Bluetooth: Turn off the Bluetooth connectivity if you’re not using a Bluetooth headset or any other Bluetooth feature.. Bluetooth requires comparably more battery power and careful usage will make your battery run for a longer period.
Keep your calls short: Hands down, your phone uses the most battery power while making or receiving phone calls. Keep your voice calls short and use text messaging where possible as it requires less power.
Watch out for GPRS, 3G and Wi-Fi: Sure, high-speed data is cool, but these features suck back a lot of juice. Avoid them where possible. Some phones offer features like “Only when needed”, which switches off these features if they are not being connected and used. Select these options and save power.
Screen savers and wallpapers: Animated wallpapers and screensavers look attractive and fascinating but they use also drain more battery power. Keep your screen simple, plain and quiet and enjoy the battery power for a longer period.
Rechargeable batteries are the brawn behind the brains of today’s portable electronic devices. A proper use maximizes its longevity. The above tips will definitely help you to make your cell phone battery last longer.
