If you’ve got no credit history or you’ve got low credit scores that keep you from getting credit cards with good terms, we believe that the Petal Visa could be a good fit for you. You don’t have to make a deposit, there are no fees and the card functions just like a normal credit card.

A nontraditional card option for building credit

from NerdWallet

If you lack a credit history and want to build one without putting down a security deposit, Petal could be a good option — assuming, of course, that you can score an invite. The Petal Visa can also help you avoid complicated and potentially costly fees, as long as you pay your balance in full each month.

Doctor Of Credit

For people without a credit score

from Doctor Of Credit

I can see some limited use for petal for people with poor/no credit history. The downside to this card is that there is no rewards program or sign up bonus. I think this is less of an issue for people with poor/no credit history but there are cards that do have a rewards program and no/low fees.
