The Apple Card is a rewarding option for people with good credit or better who regularly buy Apple products and services, as well as for iPhone, Mac and iWatch users who are comfortable making purchases using Apple Pay. Having the new Apple Credit Card from Goldman Sachs in your wallet doesn’t have to cost you a thing, considering the card’s $0 annual fee (and lack of other major fees). But it can help you save money with elite rewards rates of up to 2% - 3% on select purchases, as long as you pay the bill in full every month.

Two months in, the benefits just get better

from Digital Trends

The Apple Card is improving with time, and will spur you to use tap-to-pay quite a bit more. However, even with the addition of new partner retailers offering 3% cashback, there are better rewards cards out there. The card’s appeal is its ease of use and rewards on Apple products, not a broad cashback bonus.

If you use your iPhone for everything, the Apple Card might make a lot of sense. Though not all of its features are ground-breaking, it consolidates several nice-to-have perks on your phone. Great rewards rate on Apple Pay purchases

If you’re among the Apple faithful, it’s worth taking a look at the Apple Card. The card, issued by Goldman Sachs, reserves its best rewards for Apple purchases and transactions made using Apple Pay, which makes it less of a physical card than it is an incentive program for using Apple’s proprietary technology.

Using the Apple Card is all told a simple and straightforward experience. And if you are looking for a simple cash-back card, have an iPhone and don't mind using Apple Pay, then at 2% cash back it's one of the better ones you'll find available. The 3% at Apple is great, but for most Apple hardware you can often save a lot more by shopping at a third-party store. Also, unlike premium cards, it doesn't have a rewards points program or features like extended warranties and price protection. As evidenced by the Uber partnership, Apple seems to be working to build expand the card's value, and at first step, the Apple Card shows promise. But to become my go-to it needs to add a bit more.
