The Good, The Bad and The Ugly!

Switching to Spectrum Mobile was easy and the sales rep was very polite and helpful. It was all downhill after that. Since I wasn't able to use my Galaxy S7 on their service; I had to buy a new phone. They offered a buyback of my old phone plus a $100 credit, here's where the problem started. They were supposed to email me a return shipping label. After calling into Spectrum Mobile and going through their options menu; I was ready to throw the phone against the wall. I made 4 separate calls to 4 different representatives, they had the wrong email address on file. Each time I called in, I had to answer the same questions over and over and verify my email address. They also would transfer me to Assurance, the company they use for replacement insurance and Assurance would transfer me back to Spectrum Mobile. What a fiasco, I asked to speak to a manager and after being on hold about 30 minutes; I was told they would call back when one is available. When I got that call back about 4 hours later, it was like talking to a robot and instead of calming the situation, she made it worse. Word of advice to Spectrum Mobile, you are in the customer service industry, let your reps make some decisions instead of reading from a script.

Dishonest sales

Por telefono me ofrecieron in cancellation department:

I switched  and I ordered 2 aristos LG 30 +1 LG... And I paid  $111+81 with my debit card.  And they enroll my card in automatic. In 10 days spectrum charge me $222./data plus phones. Immediately I called and cancelled, but I still owe them $506....

Why ? They did not want the phones back in only  14 days. $906 for nothing . and they  took my money off my card. Less

Dishonest Sales Practices

I was misled. I recorded the phone call of the sales person & was told that I had 14 days from the date I activate the phone after receiving it to try the service and if dissatisfied I could return the phone for a FULL REFUND. When I called to activate the phone I was then told that the 14 day trial started when they SENT the phone and NOT when I activate. The Customer rep told me this at the very beginning of the activation call because "Most people are confused of the trial period". So since I was clearly misled, I chose to send the phone back for the refund. They kept $50.00 of my refund (claimed it was restocking fee) plus $10.00 activation fee (which I never activated the phone). I ask the sales person before ever agreeing to try the service (I have a recording) WHAT AMOUNT OF MY INITIAL CHARGE ($148.17) WILL NOT BE REFUNDED IF i RETURN THE PHONE? I ask this question twice with the second time being after the sales person confirmed with their supervisor that the fee ($148.17) would be FULLY REFUNDED if I did not damage the phone and returned it within the trial period. They are intentionally misleading consumers. Worse company ever!...

The exactly same happened to me Dan. I called to cancel and return without even activating it and they said I can no longer return it. They did not send me a sim card to activate the phone, I did not open the box, they told me there was no restocking fee, they even went ahead and told me that $14/month was much cheaper than the $70 I was paying for a comparable service, implying that I was getting unlimited everything for it.., It's a joke. I'm going to the DA's office to make a complain.

Salesperson not knowledgable

Sales said we were getting a plan with 16G data usage. However, it was really the plan of $14 per G usage. Returned 3 phones after using two days. Charged $321.

Only one problem so far

Switching to Spectrum from Verizon was easy. I needed a new iPhone anyway, and the service rep I talked to understood what I wanted and had it went to me in two days. I use very little data so I signed up for the $14 plan. The bill goes to my credit card. The only problem I have is that their outgoing caller is number only. My Verizon service showed my name. My mom won't answer my calls because she doesn't recognize the number!!!

Run, don't walk.

They don't know what they're doing. No one in their organization knew the slightest thing about handling cell phones, porting over phone #s or information. They've dived into a new business they know little about and the employees are not trained to handle it. Don't be fooled by the low price.

I was told it was to be an rma no one said I was going to be charged 600+ as I  live off of my social security check for food and rent so another phone call ensued

This time they said we will credit your account in 20 days, 20 + days pass I got no credit now they are saying warranty was only for mfg defects this time they agree I was overcharged but I need a supervisor to approve the overcharge credit then I was told his supervisor needs to check my previous phone records for documentation of the telemarketing phone calls

Bottom line was I am charged  for 2 phones 1 usable 1 that I returned

Someone should have told me "I was libel for the defective phone, try finding a  phone  repair to replace the glass that got cracked ", but no one did!

Customer service

I was with my current carrier since 2001. I switch to spectrum and was mislead from the beginning, The sales agent called me. I did not reach out to spectrum. I was advised to take the cheapest plan. The agent also left off important information, such the auto pay. When I received my first bill, I immediately called spectrum because I was shocked by the overage charges. I  spoke with a CS agent and a supervisor. The supervisor advised me he would have a manager return my call in 24 to 48 hours. After a few days passed I called back and was advised I would be on hold 30 mins to speak with a supervisor. I advised the agent I couldn't hold and she assured me someone would return my call. After a week no one returned my call. I called back only to be on hold for over hour. The supervisor Irlanda I spoke with advised me there was no notes from a previous  supervisor, therefore she couldn't help me. The supervisor was rude would not give me her last name, nor would she transfer me to a manager.  At this point I just want to switch from spectrum back to my old carrier. I am very unhappy after only being with spectrum for a month. Currently I am in the process of calling the corporate office to get this resolved. I have reviewed other customers complaints and this is nothing new spectrum. I received no empathy from the last supervisor.  I know how great customer service looks and Spectrum mobile is the worst. I have my internet and my TV with spectrum and I am considering disconnecting all services....

Totally incompetent

Decided to start cell phone service as I am a internet  customer with Spectrum. Spent an hour with incompetent sales person but finally wrapped up and provided card number only to find out the phone was not available and would no longer be available. Checked back the next day and "Voila" it's available! Next sales person stated it is available but insisted on a supervisor to make sure and guess what , Not available ….but! you can upgrade to the more expensive version. My advise is don't bother with Spectrum it is a SCAM!!!!!
