The Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini is an ultra-compact Android smartphone that was first released in August 2011. It is an update to the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini and as such, brings several improvements to the table. Among these is a larger, crisper display that measures 3-inches diagonally and boasts a native resolution of 320x480 pixels.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini also features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard that can be used for typing and navigating menus alongside the touchscreen controls. This has made it rather thick for a phone of its size. However, it is still very pocketable.
The user interface on the Xperia Mini has been modified to help users make the most out of the limited screen real estate. In every corner of the screen, you'll find folders for icons and shortcuts. Each folder can hold up to four items each.
Although small, the Xperia Mini certainly packs quite a punch. Inside is a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 512 MB of RAM. It also features Sony's famed mobile BRAVIA engine which brings better screen fidelity and is especially important considering with the Xperia Mini offers no way to manually control screen brightness.
