Blow's can be good if they are free

Got this beauty for 40.. with a 25$ credit. for 15 this phone was worth it. Had it for a year plus, possibly 2 years. Ill be real, it sucks, horrible reception, no memory, fake features, and the buttons are bi-polar. Its cheap, does ok at texting. So if your in need of a pager for 12.50$ a month.. then get it otherwise find something better.

I got this phone because it was free with my plan. It's very basic and very simple to use but it's memory is too small. It has a limited message memory and will delete old messages if you have not cleaned out your Inbox. When your Inbox is at capacity, rather than showing your old text message in order that your recieved them, it puts them in some funky order which requires you to hunt around if your looking for a certain text message. Also, I found that this phone gets pretty warm around the keypad area when talking for any period of time longer than 7mins. The battery does not hold up well; I am finding it does not last more than 1 day and if it's being used lightly no more than 1.5 days. If you are a heavy user do not get this phone. Less

piece of crap

Slow internet

The internet speed on this phone is at snails pace, and the sound is poor. Worst phone that I have ever owned.

Good phone for the price

I haven't had any problems with this phone. Like another review says it does what it is supposed to do. No frills, just a phone, that's what I wanted and that's what I have. As for others point of view I don't agree in the slightess.

Simple, Decent Phone

A lot of reviews on the internet call this device a bad phone, I actually disagree. The Samsung Phoenix is a fairly simple phone with very few features, that is true. A lot of reviews on the internet call this device a bad phone, I actually disagree. The Samsung Phoenix is a fairly simple phone with very few features, that is true. However, I actually believe that this is the phone's selling point. It does what a phone is meant to do, and efficiently. The call quality is very good, the battery life is great, there are a lot of "default" tools you find on all phones, and txting is made easy thanks to the soft keypad. The phone lacks a camera, but no one really uses their cell camera for high quality shots anyway. The phone has a great design and is extremely durable. Because of it's cheap price, I highly recommend it to anyone whether planning to use it briefly or for a long period of time. Less

this phone is horrible. the only thing good about it is the battery life. I bought this phone in November at wal mart as a prepaid phone because it was cheap and hooked it up to my regular plan. The battery life is good. But that is the only good thing about the phone. If making a phone call that is longer then 10 minutes the key pad becomes incredibly warm and hot. If you drop the phone from 8-12 inches on to hardwood flooring the battery cover falls off and the battery may fall out to. Only way to resolve that problem is to buy a case for $25-$50. The phones alarm went off one day for an alarm hat had been programed into the phone before I bought it and i could not turn it off without taking out the battery. If you hit the back button while typing a text message it some times take you back to the begining of message no way to rsolve this it is very anoying. Most frustratating problem is the phone erases all of your text messages that were already in your phones inbox and outbox at random the phone has erased all of my messages twice now for no reason which is very frustrating especially because there were important messages there that i needed to keep. This phone is unreliable and a piece of Garbage! I have had numerous phones over the years this is my second from samsung and it wil be my last! I called samsung about this they acted like it was the first time they heard about any of these problems. and recomend i send my phone in for repair not for the other issues but only because the key pad heats up. if you send the phone in for repair you may not get a replacement phone while it is being fixed because samsungs waranty does not cover that it will be up to your service provider. Avoid this phone at all costs. Less

I bought this phone because there was a very limited choice for me with Solo Mobile and this was the cheapest. It does not in any way compare to the original solo phone. The keys are very slow to respond. Texting gets interrupted by incoming calls and the phone does not respond to input instructions in a timely manner. But the worst thing about this phone is T9. It barely works and cannot spell basic words such as "no" "home" "if" "of" and countless more. Most times it does not give options for a variety of words using the same combination and the odd times it does the options are not real words. It does not accept programming for these basic words either. It is extremely frustrating and I call it a "stupid" phone simply because it seems unable to learn or retain basic English words. I strongly urge you not to select this phone if you desire speed and accuracy. Less

When you are ready to send a text and you press next it takes about 10 seconds to respond. The ringer is fairly loud. You can't watch youtube b/c it doesn't have a memory stick so it says insuffient memory. This happens to many other sites too. On a positive note it is really tough, i've threw it many of times(while drunk) and it hasnt broken yet. If you are looking for a cheap basic phone it will work good. Less
