The Samsung M370 is a testament to the idea that there's still a market for phones that function basically only as phones.
As far as its clamshell design and exterior is concerned, it packs few tricks. The casing itself measures about 18mm thick and is easy to grip thanks to a patterned finish. Even when closed, the M370 can be used because it has a secondary monochrome LCD on its lid, above which sits a 1-megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom. This monochrome screen on the outside shows stuff like the date and time, signal strength, and the amount of battery life left. The rest of the phone can be used only if you flip it open.
The main screen on the M370 offers a native resolution of 240x320 pixels and measures 2.4-inches diagonally. It resides on the top half of the clamshell design while a 12-key alphanumeric keypad can be found on the lower half. The alphanumeric keypad, according to most reviews, is very easy-to-use because the keys are large and evenly spaced. Other hardware buttons can be found on the sides of the phone, where things like a USB port and 3.5mm headphone jack are also present.
The standard battery offers only a little over 6 hours of battery life talking, which is quite disappointing considering the fact that there aren’t really any components present to eat up the battery. This might make nightly charging a necessity but for most users that will be a non-issue, especially when you consider the affordable price. In the M370, Samsung scores another one for the budget-conscious consumer.
