The Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE is a Bell-exclusive in Canada that builds on the success of Samsung’s earlier Galaxy S-branded smartphones. It comes with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of on-device RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. As you can see, it doesn’t come pre-packaged with the latest version of the Android software. But still, there’s a lot of good value in the S II HD LTE from Samsung.
For starters, it boasts every single one of the many hardware features that made the vanilla Samsung Galaxy S II great. These include a large high-definition Super AMOLED touchscreen display, 8-megapixel main camera, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, HDMI-out, microUSB 2.0, and consistent 10+ hour battery life. The bit about the battery is really quite an achievement especially if you consider the fact that it works with high-speed LTE data during usage. With the Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE, you can be sure that you'll be able to enjoy your phone whether for productivity or just lounging around, and quite comfortably, at that.
Another thing that this smartphone has going for it is the fact that its release price was just $99 with a 3-year contract under Bell. If you want to buy it contract free however, it costs $549 which we don't consider a bargain.
Overall, this would be an excellent handheld computer by itself, but when lined up with the rest of Samsung’s Galaxy S-branded offerings, it easily comes across as unimpressive and pricey.
