We're not robots. We forget birthdays and anniversaries, we miss deadlines and goals, and we even forget how old we are sometimes.

That's why we need tools, in the form of productivity apps, that will help us get through each passing day.

Today, we bring to you the best to-do list apps available for Android and iPhone. Ready?

Best ToDo Apps

Wunderlist

Wunderlist has been around now for quite some time, and, considering the updates it has received lately, it still deserves a place in our list. Wunderlist will not just allow users to write down their daily tasks, it also supports sharing and the capability to assign to-dos (on paid plans). However, for most, the free plan will suit them just fine.

Wunderlist features lists, recurring tasks, reminders, notes, notifications, a calendar, and many more. Perhaps what separates Wunderlist from the humdrum is its eye-candy design. Users can choose from one cool theme to another. Plus, the app is also available for desktops (Windows and Mac OS).

Todoist

Don’t let Todoist’s minimalist interface fool you. Even at the free tier, it offers powerful organizational tools, a great tagging system, and just enough motivation in its charts and progress trackers to keep you on track.

Google Keep

Google Keep is Google's answer to all popular task management apps out there, and they've done a great job.

With it, users can scribble notes, write to-dos and assignments, save photos or voice notes, or write just about anything. Plus, the capability to change colors is very Google-ish.

Trello

Although this app is more like a project management app (welcome to the sometimes weird world of agile and scrum project management), Trello is no stranger to managing tasks.

We, personally, like the sequential approach of the app, to wit, the capability to move tasks from "To-do," "Doing," and "Done."

With Trello, users can add tasks, also called "cards." Users can then move tasks from one list to another. Each card can also host checklists, comments, photos, and file attachments.

Users can also view who's currently online or using the app, and assign tasks to members within the board. Trello is free and is available on the web, for Android and for iOS.

For power users, there's a paid plan called Business Class which offers more features - features that aren't really useful unless you're managing a team of people or a business.

Any.do

There are tons of task management apps on Google Play and Apple's App Store, but Any.DO stands out in both.

For one, its design is neat and simple. Its white and blue design is comfortable on the eyes, and navigation is very easy.

Second, Any.DO is ubiquitous, as it also has a nifty Chrome app and soon-to-be-available web app.

Lastly, we also love the widgets and the useful "Status bar." Any.DO is free and it also supports speech recognition, alerts, recurring tasks, notes, Google task syncronization, and a whole lot more.

Featuring a clean look and easy navigation, Any.do takes the fuss out of keeping track of your to-dos. It also features some handy templates -- such as the smart grocery list -- to help you wrangle personal tasks on top of work obligations.
