It's an attractive phone that's never caused me any problems. The only thing that bothers me now is that I dropped it a while ago and cracked the face (the phone isn't any more fragile than any other phone: I'm just THAT clumsy), and since the model's discontinued I can't get an identical replacement. :( Less

For no apparent reason right now AI cant get into my date book. when I got the phone they failed to mention that is does not come with a usb, so the only way to get my pictures and videos onto my computer is to send them one by one which costs a fortune! you cannot select a different ring tone for specific people, among other common call phone things that you cannot do with this phone. Worst phone ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! Less

I haven't had that trouble with my phone and I've had it for 3 years. My phone came with a USB cable as well.

If I could give this zero stars, I would. Worst phone I have ever owned. I will NEVER purchase another motorola phone again. Not only is the battery life so pitiful that I had to purchase a car charger to make sure I had battery life in an emergency but the battery alert cannot be turned off without turning off the phone. So, guess who has to get up in the middle of the night to find the phone somewhere in the house- the battery alert is so LOUD (not adjustable) that it wakes up the whole house. And it goes off every minute or 2 for the hour it takes for the darn thing to die. Also, one of the reasons I believe the battery life is so poor is because the image on the front of the phone lights up every 30 seconds- very distracting if you sleep with your phone near you in bed, and also a huge and pointless waste of energy. It has some pro's and cons. I've personally found this one from Roger's in Canada (Red) to be extremely durable; lasting being soaked in Rum, dropped continuously, sat on, kicked, etc. The front does scratch, as does the inner screen so beware all of you with upper ear piercings! They WILL leave gouges in the top of the phone. However, two years later and there's not that many for being used daily. The software can stall, slow down, and be confused. But holding the red stop button to turn it off and then waiting a few minutes before turning it on solves all problems. All in all, it seems to be a really good phone. The battery life is pretty good, every three days I've found after frequent use I've had to recharge it. Recharging is quick, painless, and you can still use it while it's plugged in. Bonus. The camera is surprisingly good, but it doesn't replace a real camera. For on the go and quick "YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS" type shots, it's perfect. My one complaint is there is NO online support from Rogers or otherwise Canadian users to help with ringtone problems. Two years with "Zen" from a ringtone is starting to drive me nuts. Less

I dropped it on my wood dresser and the whole front cracked. The worst part is the battery life. It lasts no time!!! A 10 minute phone call will drop the battery to only 1 bar left, and don;t even think about trying to send a picture message, it will about knock out all your battery. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PHONE TO ANYONE!!! Less

The krazer works fine, the trouble is the low battery signal. You can't turn it off. No matter what. The problem with that is, the low battery indicator is absolutely ridiculous. The phone has 70% left of its charge and it puts up "low battery" and starts beeping. Of course you can always charge it... but then your making the battery worse. If you don't fully discharge the battery the battery is weakened so that it gets worse and worse. Motorola of course knows this. The batteries would actually be fine if the software didn't force you to ruin them. Less

I have had my KRZR for about a year and a half now and i have brought it in for repairs 6 times! First repair was one month after buying it... the screen cracked for no reason. Telus wouldn't fix it because they said it was "physical damage" (the phone fell from my bedside table, about a distance of 2 feet, on carpet and it cracked... ridiculous). So i brought it into a repair place and they fixed it for 40$. One month later, the battery started to fail and the reception on the phone became horrible. The static made it almost impossible to hear anything on the phone. Brought it in to Telus 2 more times after getting it back from having it "repaired" for these problems because they never actually fixed the problem at all the two forst times (but they did manage to errase and reset my phone every time, don't know why this was really necessary to fix the battery charger and the reception issues, but apparently to them, it is...). After getting a new battery and them apparently checking the charging mechanism... my battery life i still horrible. It needs to be charged every night. The battery display still molfunctions however and tells me it's fully charge when it's not (from being completely dead, charge it 2 mins and the display shows that it's "fully charged", you have to unplug it, fiddle around with it for a few mins and then the true battery life appears.) I carry my charger with me now. The final problems have been just recently... 2 month after my warranty ran out with Telus, the external and internal screens went white. No display at all... Telus refused to fix it and said it would cost me AT LEAST 100$ to fix... PLUS a 25$ consultation and shipping fee. This OR they could offer me a phone for 115$ to replace it. I decided against it and took my chances getting it fixed again with a private repair shop. 100$ later, it was working great... THEN... just last week... the external screen decided it no longer turn off. Now my already horrible battery life was being completely drained and my phone lasted a meer 2 hours. Went back to the repair place that fixed the screens before, and they are reparing this problem for free (they offer a 3 month warranty on their repairs... much better service, more accomodating and understanding than Telus). So in a nutshell... i have nothing good to say about this phone... 6 repairs in a year and a half does not make for arecommendable phone. Save yoruself some frustrtaion and avoid this phone at all costs... i'm never buying a Motorolla again... (the only reason i'm even bothering fixing this phone is to avoid having to buy a new extremely overpriced Telus phone, finish the remaining year and half left on my contract and then leave for a phone company that cares about it's clients... i don't recommend Telus as a phone provider AT ALL) Less

Then only weeks later it started to get weaker and weaker and eventually if I wasn't talking on it, it was on the charger. Then as if it couldn't get any better the the dang thing just shuts off when it wants to. It says that it has a low battery and shuts off as if the battery has give out, but only 5 mins. before, it had a full charge. It also continues to do this even after a software upgrade and new battery. And verizon isn't much help either. The guys who sold me the phone and swore how good it was is pretty much telling me now that its not their problem and I don't have another upgrade until October of this year. VERIZON AND THE KRAZR SUCK!!! I swear I'm going to AllTell!! Less

Repair Repair Repair

very weird glitches

I like the size and feel of this phone BUT a few things: 1. the interface - not intuitive, requires too many clicks to get to a feature and sometimes it's confusing to get to or find something basic, like your call history. 2. missed calls - are reported by number of missed calls but then don't tell you who those were unlike my previous phone. you just get sent to the call history list and have to assume that the number at the top is the right number but if more than one call was missed it gets confusing. 3. software reboots required!!!! I previously had a sony ericsson T310 for over 5 years and never once had a problem with it. i have had the motorola krzr 1 for about 6 mos and have had to take it in for repair THREE times! first time, the entire software crashed. screen was blank. 2nd and 3rd time, vibrate function suddenly stopped working. the 2nd time the vibrate stopped working, about 8 hours later it mysteriously started working again. very weird. i like the phone but am worried that it will become costly to repair after the warranty is up. very unreliable.
