I got this phone for work, and have the Boost monthly unlimited plan for it. I've had the phone for a couple of years, and for no apparent reason (not being dropped or gotten wet), just last night (while being stranded with a busted car) I found that when I attempted to make or receive a call, while the person on the other end could hear me just fine, I could not hear them at all. I am now forced to use the phone strictly on speakerphone, which is going to be difficult due to my job. I've read other reviews here about Motorolas having this problem, and one way around it is to use a headset. Guess I'm going to buy one of those today. :( Less

Above average by far...!

This is the 23rd cell phone I have owned since 1990, albeit some of the early ones were not 'hand-held pocket phones' as you would think of them. I hate this phone

when Im talking my voice comes and goes, so the person Im trying to talk to has to keep saying what did you say. Also I can't find how to make a longer ring time, the phone rings about 5 sec then shuts off. Then I have to call them back. duh

Boost i776, sometimes first impressions are wrong

Upon first impression I thought this is a good phone. But after having used it for over a month I can honestly say I hate this phone. The camera takes mediocre pictures. Over half the time people calling me dont get through. The phone just goes straight to voice mail. When they do get through a lot of times the calls are dropped. Worst of all is the text messaging! Most of the messages are delayed for hours if I even receive them at all. The sent messages are just as bad. Ive had friends report having never received messages or if they did it took a long time. One message took over 24 hours! I never had this trouble with my i855 so I know its not my location. I even thought it was my SIM card. But after having put the SIM in my i855, I can truthfully say its the phone! Less

Boostmobile i776 FIRST IMPRESSIONS

I have had this phone for at least a week and can say that it has performed quite well. It replaces a i855e. For starters it definitely receives better than the i855e. I have had this phone for at least a week and can say that it has performed quite well. It replaces a i855e. For starters it definitely receives better than the i855e. Side by side the i776 signal strength bars are always full scale, where as the 855e signal was bouncing around 1 to3 bars. The i776 receive audio sounds much, much better than the i855e.Speaker phone works just as well as the 855e. Bluetooth was fairly easy to get up and running. Worked well across the room. Like the charger port on the i776 (miniUSB) a lot more user friendly than the 855e, ALWAYS had problems with getting a good locking connection because of that dust cover. Battery charged up quickly. Love the size factor over the 855. Thinner and lighter!! Case colors are ok. I guess I'll get used to it. Antenna bump close to the same as the 855e, though the pull out antenna does seem to look and feel more flimsy than the 855e. Like the keypad, nice eye pleasing backlight. The fonts size and style are good. LCD display sharp and clear. Thank goodness the dumb "Where u at" boot screen is gone. Defintely boots up faster than the 855e! The external LCD screen is small strip and is clear and easy to read (in color). There are 2 icons on the front panel that indicate Bluetooth active and Messages. I like that. Camera is VGA grade, simple and to the point. Main complaint...mini SD card slot WOULD have been a great added feature!!!! A 1.3 or better camera...another feature missing! Again..first week of use impressions...Most definitely and decent phone... Less
