Pro: Lightweight, Cheap, Indestructible, Easy to Use, and Great Call Quality Con: Battery Life (later on; see summary), Buttons, and not much else. Using experience: 2 years This was my first cell phone, and it worked great. After owning it for almost 2 years, I still love it. For some reason, after a while, the 4 button would only register half of the time, which was annoying while texting, but that was it. The only reason that I stopped using it (it still works) is that the battery life got down to the point where I could barely make it through a day on one charge and light use. When I could only find replacement batteries that cost almost as much as the phone itself, I decided to get a new one. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap phone that goes a bit beyond Tracfone's entry level phones. Less

OK as a basic phone, but terrible at texting

I got this Fido phone as a trade for a Telus phone since my wife ditched Telus. The Moto C261 is a basic phone that is slim and has a nice rubber skin, thus making it easy to carry, IMO. I got this Fido phone as a trade for a Telus phone since my wife ditched Telus. The Moto C261 is a basic phone that is slim and has a nice rubber skin, thus making it easy to carry, IMO. Also the battery life is very good at 4-5 days standby. But I think SMS ("texting") is an essential feature of any basic phone, and I have to say that Motorola fails in that dept.--Nokia has T9 down-pat easy and intuitive, whereas Moto is slow and inefficient to type on. Another CON: I find it illogical that as you navigate to any function or application using the 4-directional ring, the centre button is NOT the button used to activate or select your desired function. Instead, it's the left soft key! Otherwise, I think this phone is a nice-looking, easy to carry, basic phone. Given the right price, I wouldn't overlook it--much better than the infamous LG Neon!! Still, I prefer Nokia because of their efficient T9 text input. Less

i will write a review that reflects the true nature of this worthless device. In my case the battery would fail only after a few hours (whether i talked or not). The display eventually turned blank so i could not see who was calling or text. The number buttons sometimes had to be pressed more than once for the number to register. I know others who have had this phone and consistent problems occurred with them too. the applications are tedious. the design would have improved with better display and bigger number buttons. the service at fido was horrible they kept giving me the same excuses which dragged on up until my warranty finished. i had to give them an ultimatum and bring proof that the phones they were peddling were lemons with other unsatisfied customers. they finally switched me at no cost to a better brand (nokia)..this should have happened from the beginning! There is no way to delete the cartoonish pictures that comes with the phone; which uses a lot of the phones memory. No voice memo capabilities. Using experience: 1 years A good phone with good reception from almost anywhere in the country. It takes not so good pictures and picture taking is limited due to non-deletable, factory-stored pictures. Less

Phone is excellent have had no problems with it at all, would buy again from this seller., I did have several questions and seller answered all questions fast and in a timely manner.

Reliable

Nice phone considering it was one of the cheapest of it's time. It's been very reliable for me and has a pretty sleek design for the price. Don't value the camera though, it produces a very dim image and would only be useful in bright light. No complaints here. If you like to spend a minimum on a phone that will last, this is a good choice. Battery life is highly rated, one of the reasons I bought it and I can verify that the battery life is pretty good. motorolla c261 unlocked for T- Moblile

from eBay
This is a great phone for the price I paid. I did have to call t-mobile to set up all of the features of the phone but it performs exactly as the seller stated. I bought this phone for my teenage daughter so I wouldn't have to extend my service contract. For the price it's a great buy.

I was disappointed, because I could not activate the phone, because, it had not been scanned by the seller, so this was a waste of money.
