There are some positives to Huawei’s smaller P30 model, such as the size and design, which manages to feel just as good as the flagship and in a more hand-friendly size. The camera is decent, too, and you even get the 3.5mm headset jack back, something we don’t see very often anymore. But you will m...

The camera is decent, too, and you even get the 3.5mm headset jack back, something we don’t see very often anymore. But you will miss out on wireless charging, water resistance, and the major camera improvements found alongside those features in its slightly higher-priced sibling, the P30 Pro.

The Huawei P30 has the same SuperSpectrum RYYB sensor and low light photography technology found in the P30 Pro. Macro shots of flowers, insects, and other small subjects look great and beat out what I've been experiencing with Samsung phones for the past couple of years. I love the small size of the P30 and now regret paying $1,000 for the P30 Pro since the practical usefulness of the periscope telephoto lens is not really worth the premium price.

It isn’t as big or as gloriously capable in the camera department, but it deserves, at the very least, to be considered on its own merits. It has a great set of cameras, shares some of the P30 Pro’s new technology, has the very same core chipset and looks absolutely fabulous, even in black. In its price bracket, then, the Huawei P30 stands alone. It’s a much better smartphone than many will give it credit for.

Great phone with a few drawbacks

from Notebookcheck

Huawei's P30 only has minor issues and the high price is justified. With its under-display fingerprint sensor, OLED display and 3x optical zoom, buyers will no doubt find using this phone enjoyable.

Triple cameras - great photos

The Huawei P30’s camera is impressive enough on its own too. Not as high resolution as the Huawei P30 Pro, but enough that it is already an impressive thing on its own. The Huawei P30 really is in a class of its own; you can hardly compare it to the Huawei P30 Pro.
