Can you advise how to access the chat view mode. I'd access it accidentally, but haven't yet figured out how to find it intentionally!
Thanks.
OMG! Are you kidding me? I just tried it and it worked! Now I know how I did it so easily without realizing it!! I asked so many people and no one had an answer.
Thanks, Andrew!
Hi Terri. I think I might know what you're talking about. When you are on the home screen, swipe to the right. You will see the most recent messages sent to and from you.
Hi terri. Try this:
1. Touch Messages then Inbox
2. Touch an Inbox message
3. Touch FWD to view the conversation in chat view mode.
Let me know if that works.
"Are you sure you have managed to access this feature in the past, and saw message threads with separate text bubbles for sender and recipient? " Yes. that's how I know it could be done. I've been told it can only be done with a smart phone, and I know I don't have that.
Hi again Terri, I've been going through the manual myself and I have to agree with you. It doesn't mention anything about chat view for messages in the inbox at all. Are you sure you have managed to access this feature in the past, and saw message threads with separate text bubbles for sender and recipient? Try going to Inbox and pressing Options near the top right corner of the screen to see if you find a relevant option there. Or if that doesn't help, open any one message in the Inbox to see if the option might be present there instead. Let us know how it goes!
(I think) I'm viewing messages in the Inbox. This is what I posted elsewhere: How do I set the cell to show an ongoing text conversation? I can answer a text, but can't see the text to which I responded. It only shows the sender's name and a few words for several incoming or outgoing texts. But now and then I accidentally touch something that shows the whole convo - in balloons, like a comic strip. The manual is not helpful. It only answers minimal questions.
Thanks!
Hi Terri, are you trying to access chat view through the Messages menu? Or while you are viewing messages in the Inbox?
