Why does my Samsung Galaxy Nexus turn off 2-3 times a day and my battery is strong?

Hi Bob, this might be due to a faulty battery. Before you buy a replacement battery though, take a look under the Settings to see if there are no automatic power on/off events scheduled.
Go to Settings > Scheduled power on & off (under System) and see if there are active schedules there.
