Welcome to the forum Simon. In a word...Accuweather.  Very nice layout, very accurate, and lots of detail if you want to drill down a bit deeper. It's not free but it's one of the few apps I check daily and feel the 4 bucks is well justified.

There is also Weather Line? It gets a bit beyond current temperature and seems to do a godd job of forecasting. (Data comes from forecast.io)

Basically...its Dark Sky + machine learning = pretty looking weather interface. There are minute-by-minute updates and an army of widgets that make it pretty easy to check weather at a glance for locations around the world. It's very visual.
