Virgin refused to take payment on my son behalf Without his password

I called virgin mobile to settle the account of my son, on his behalf but they Refused  . They said without knowing his password you can't pay it, I tried different numbers and all ( their call centre) refuse to take the money and want me to know his password etc. I am stuck as he is away , out of the country, and no mean of contact
