Is it possible to have a Telus LG Keybo 9100 unlocked?

I have a 14 month old LG 9100T on the Telus network. It has no contract obligation and I'd like to unlock it to use with Verizon as I spend lots of time in the US. One unlocking service took all the information on the phone, said they could unlock it, and after about 24 hours responded with an offer for a "Full Refund". What other kind is there?

Anyway, I contacted LG and they say there is no way to unlock it. As it is a CDMA phone with no "SIM Card" etc, are they correct, or just blowing smoke? The phone is currently inactive as I had to reactivate my Motorola i880 "Mike" phone. Should I just try to sell the 9100 and get a new phone from Verizon? I really like the phone and who knows, the one I choose from Verizon could be a dud.
