Why does PC locks up when transferring more then 1 photo from Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge to PC?

Every time I try to transfer more then 1 photo at a time  from my s7 edge to my PC everything locks up and I have to unplug the phone and start all over.  Any suggestions?

That's odd. Can you try using a different data cable? Also, by locking did you mean the PC froze?
