Why won't Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge turn on after getting washed under water?

Washed my 5 months old Samsung S7 Edge under normal water just for a few seconds. The phone didn't respond as soon as I tried to turn it on. What should I do now? If I take it to Service Center, will this be treated under warranty?

Please help ASAP!

I read somewhere that you need to make sure the charging port is dry first. Looks like it is a safety measure that if the charging port detects moisture, it won't charge nor turn on. But I highly suggest that you take it to a service center. Based on other user experience, I'm afraid you will have to pay for repairs if water intrusion indicators are tripped.
