With Virgin Mobile prepaid, there is no option to choose a number as they don't have any number vanity. Once you activate a phone, may it be online or over the phone, the system will ask you to put in your postal code or the nearest biggest city to where you will be using the phone. If it is done online, the system will provide three mobile numbers that you can choose from. However, over the phone, the system only generates one number based on your chosen local service area.

If you want to get number vanity, you might consider getting their postpaid service. But do note that it still depends on the availability of that number in the chosen area.
