Why does the Kyocera Hydro show I have 1 unread message but there's none?

7I 7have no unopened messages but a "1" is still showing on my app

Message icon shows one unread message when there is none I tried restarting ,taking battery out nothing worked thanks

Try to restart your phone. That's what I did when the same thing happened to me. It went away after the restart.
