Will the warranty cover my phone and its broken screen?
There is a little crack and the screen is starting to go black

Which phone are you using? Anyway, AFAIK, it's not. Damages due to accident or misuse is not covered by warranty. If you want to repair your phone, you can take it to a service center or to a local cell phone repair shop. Keep in my that once the phone is opened by a non authorized service center, the warranty will be void.
