Sony Ericsson is known for great displays and serious cameras, and the K850i is no exception. Sporting a 5MP camera, complete with LED photo light, flash, video recording, and a host of photo-editing features, you are guaranteed a quality picture! In fact, the K850i feels and operates almost exactly as a standalone Cybershot camera when being used for picture taking.
This 3G capable candy bar phone has a beautiful 240x320 pixel screen, measuring 35x45mm, capable of reproducing 262,144 colors (I can name the first five!). Available in shiny-black only, you also get an FM radio, 40MB of onboard memory (external memory via Memory Stick Micro).
While the Sony Ericsson K850i is great for pictures, it appears to be at the expense of a comfortable keypad. The 4-way navigation pad is set in the middle of the keys, making “misses” probable. They keys are easy to press but are close enough to cause still more errors. It would have been much better had Sony Ericsson spent more time on the keypad layout.
The K850i supports WAP protocol 2.0 and Java, providing an enhanced web experience.
The K850i is rated at a talk time of 540 minutes and a standby time of 400 hours. This will vary depending on usage patterns.
If you want a good phone with a great camera, and if you are not a heavy texter, take a look at the Sony Ericsson K850i.
What the Critics Are Saying...

- Steven Leckart , WiredImage isn't everything. Beyond a solid Cyber-shot-branded cam, this tidy 118 gram candy bar comes chock full of sweet, easy-to-master programs that let you edit, remix and publish sharp pics and vid clips on the fly. In minutes, we whipped up a 45-second, 1.7 MB video slideshow that looked surprisin...
